A tired Double Bay courtyard gets a full refresh: cracked paving replaced, retaining walls rebuilt to level the block, and a lush new lawn and garden bed layout that finally makes the space usable.
The Space
A neglected Double Bay patio area hadn’t been tended to in years. Algae covered paving, a patchy lawn, and a garden that had been planted over a decade ago.
The Build
Old paving was pulled out and a new paver path laid connecting the side gate to the back deck. Two low blockwork retaining walls were built to level the sloped rear corner for a new lawn area. Turf was laid over prepared, top-dressed soil, with a new irrigation line run to the garden beds.
The Result
A space too good to be missed — completed across two days while navigating tricky access and terrible Double Bay parking.
